Gratitude Lately

Lately I’ve been grateful for opportunities to become more like people I admire,
For dinners with my parents,
For little craft projects and 5 year olds who like dolls,
For timing,
And for Costco roses.

Summer 2022 is drawing to a close. All it’s yellow light and warm humidity soon to be replaced by earlier sunsets, cozier evenings and fall holidays. But in these last few hot sticky days, I’m grateful for summertime.

It is the glistening autumnal side of summer. I feel a cool vein in the breeze, which braces my thought, and I pass with pleasure over sheltered and sunny portions of the sand where the summer’s heat is undiminished, and I realize what a friend I am losing.” – Henry David Thoreau
