Keep Paddlin’

I uploaded these photos late (“late” as in almost a year later) — and somewhere along the way the photos got all mixed together, so I can hardly tell which are 2018 and which are 2019 — or who knows when exactly. But then, does it really matter? They all come from that period known as “summertime” when the cicadas are loud and the river is rushing.

Having wonderful family members who live by the beach (and are the kindest, nicest people you could ever meet!) is a lucky advantage that we shouldstop to enjoy more often. We were so blessed to spend the long weekend of the Fourth on a whirlwind trip to see grandmothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, new babes and the ocean.

Love the view of this man, smoking a cigar on the beach – my own rugged Hemingway.

The final highlight of the trip was a long drive home with my Twinkie as we planned our next adventurous endeavor (hint: it involves mouse ears, and running shoes). Carol Anne, I can’t wait for our trip together in November!
