Just a rainbow and her pot of gold, up early for a Saturday morning 5k race.

The 2017 St. Patrick’s pre-parade 5k was a great run through midtown Atlanta and Piedmont Park, with plenty of lucky runners & a few unusual characters.

Gumby might have even beaten us across the finish line… but we’d never admit to that.

After the race we enjoyed locally-brewed beer & Meatballerz foodtruck fare.

Then it was time for the parade!

The fighting 501st was in attendance…

along with this llama.

And some pirates, of course.

Kisses from an Irish Wolfhound – such a beautiful dog.

It was a fun parade and a race we’d definitely do again.
